Geoff Lawton and the Permaculture Research Institute just released this complimentary dvd tour footage of the Zaytuna Farm. Ten years of revolutionary design. Enjoy.

If you have any interest in the necessary future of food at all, watch this.

I’m leaving off tip-pruning one basil.

  3. Flowering basil. Our own sweet and thai basils didn’t do much in the pots, in the position I had chosen for them. Moving them to more sun pretty much finished them. They went yellow and never really thrived, despite efforts. I’m not really sure why. I’m guessing the crappy sand and soil mix and underfeeding the pots.

Our next lot are in a hugel style bed. We’ll see.

Mum’s however, are lush, green and thriving. This one has gone to seed early. Time for a pick.
